In 2020, the "En Avant movement" was born out of a group of concerned patriots who believed that our nation and its people deserved better. The official launch ceremony took place in Pétion-ville on October 3rd, with thousands of Haitian patriots, supporters, and sympathizers from all 10 departments in attendance. The movement comprised individuals from Haiti and the diaspora, alongside social organizations, youth groups, and other entities operating across various sectors of national life.

The initiative to unite these leaders and form the En Avant movement originated from former Congressman of Pétion-Ville, Jerry Tardieu, who distinguished himself during the 50th legislature through his passionate advocacy for reforms and laws promoting good governance, diaspora integration, accountability, economic development, and social justice. In 2021, a survey conducted by the highly respected citizen platform Open-gouv ranked Jerry Tardieu as the most effective Congressman of the fiftieth legislature.

In 2022, the "political movement" En Avant obtained authorization to transition into a "political party" after submitting all required documents to the MJSSP, which certified their compliance with the law of January 16, 2014, governing the formation, functioning, and financing of Political Parties in Haiti.

The inaugural General Assembly of the En Avant party members adopted and ratified its first Charter, formally expressing the pioneers' determination to create a political instrument dedicated to advancing the common homeland's progress. Over the past two years, the party has worked diligently to establish structures and a presence across the territory and in the diaspora. Along the way, it has been preparing for the forthcoming elections, aiming to secure power through the ballot box.
